Swedish massage is the massage method most practiced in the west and is the basis of many other massage methodologies including deep tissue massage and sports massage.
Unlike Asian massage techniques like Thai Massage or Shiatsu which focus on Eastern concepts such as sen lines and “chi” flow, Swedish massage is the method most compatible with western medicine.

Hot Stone Therapy
Combines traditional massage techniques with heat to provide even deeper relief.
A hot stone massage is a specialty massage technique in which the massage therapist utilizes warmed stones to enhance the traditional benefits of massage.
The therapist places the stones on the client’s back at key locations.
After allowing the heat to penetrate, the therapist will utilize the stones as extensions of the hands. The practitioner works on the back in a technique similar to a Swedish of deep tissue massage.
The heat expands the blood vessels and relaxes the muscles. The hot stones are held in the therapist’s palms and allow them to work the tissue deeper than traditional massage methods.
